GINISANG DILIS SA KAMATIS

Ginisang Dilis sa Kamatis is not a dish that you can find at the eatery or a restaurant. This dish is considered as one of the many “Lutong Bahay” recipe. Lutong Bahay Recipe is brought about by a practical housewife, a mother that would instantly make a dish out of whatever is available in the pantry.

This is one of my many  favorite dish that my grandmother cooks every summer holiday when I stay at their’s for vacation. My grandmother is the one I adore when it comes to Lutong Bahay cooking. She just comes up with a lot of recipes out of nothing. A typical filipino mom, in deed.

How to cook GINISANG DILIS SA KAMATIS:

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Dilis na Tuyo
  • 2 tbsp Mantika pang-gisa
  • 2 pieces med sized Sibuyas hiwain ng manipis
  • 8 pieces Kamatis maliit na hiwa
  • 1 pinch Salt & Pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Magpainit ng kawali at isangag ang dilis sa katamtamang apoy (5 min na walang tigil ng halo). I-set aside ang sinangag na dilis.
    1 cup Dilis na Tuyo
  • Magpainit ng kawali at igisa ang sibuyas at kamatis.
    2 tbsp Mantika, 2 pieces med sized Sibuyas, 8 pieces Kamatis
  • Lagyan ng asin at paminta ayon sa iyong panlasa.
    1 pinch Salt & Pepper to taste
  • Isama ang sinangag na dilis at halu-haluin ang sibuyas at kamatis hanggang sa maiga ang sabaw ng kamatis.
    1 cup Dilis na Tuyo
  • Tikman at i-adjust ang lasa.
  • Enjoy with rice.

Storing and Reheating Instructions for Ginisang Dilis sa Kamatis:

  • Store in a sealed container in the fridge and consume within 2 days.
  • Reheat in a covered pan in moderate heat and boil with small amount of water for 3 mins before serving.
  • Microwave reheating instruction: Reheat in a microwave safe dish for 3 mins in full power.
  • Make sure food is pipping hot before serving.
