BUKO SALAD

Buko Salad is a clssic Filipino dessert. This is made of variety of fresh fruits like youbg coconut, pineapples, apples, papaya and alike, however, canned fruit cocktail can be used if fresh fruits are not available. Raisins and cheese cut in small cube can also be added. It is mixed in with cream and condensed milk.

Buko Salad is commonly served during special occassions in the Philippines.

How to make BUKO SALAD:

Ingredients
  

  • 500 ml Cream heavy cream/double cream/whipping cream/nestle cream
  • 1 can Gatas na Malapot o Condensed Milk
  • 2 cups Kinayod na Buko o Shredded Young Coconut -salain
  • 2 cans Fruit Cocktail -salain
  • 1 jar Jar Nata de Coco -salain

Instructions
 

  • Ilagay ang kinayod na niyog(shredded young coconut), fruit cocktail at nata de coco sa salaan o strainer at patiktikin pra hindi maging masabaw(runny) ang salad.
  • Paalsahin ang cream gamit ang hand mixer o balloon whisk hanggang sa maging malapot ito.
    500 ml Cream
  • Isama ang gatas na malapot sa cream at haluin ng bahagya.
    1 can Gatas na Malapot o Condensed Milk
  • Isama ang pinatiktik na fruit cocktail, buko at nata sa gatas at cream at haluin.
    2 cups Kinayod na Buko o Shredded Young Coconut, 2 cans Fruit Cocktail, 1 jar Jar Nata de Coco
  • Lagyan ng takip at palamigin sa refrigerator bago ihain.
