SINIGANG NA HIPON

Sinigang na hipon is an authentic filipino dish. This recipe is best consumed while still hot and accompanied with a cup of plain rice. Sinigang na Hipon is a hearty meal perfect for cold weather and rainy days. This dish is my favorite classic dish to cook each time I miss my family home. Sinigang na Hipon is definitely a sure winner in your dinner table each meal. This dish is worth a try and surely keeps you cozy.

How to cook SINIGANG NA HIPON:

Ingredients
  

  • ½ kg Hipon
  • 5 baso Tubig
  • 1 med Sibuyas – hatiin at pag-apatincfcf
  • 2 pcs Kamatis – hatiin sa apat
  • ½ tsp Asin
  • 1 bungkos Kangkong
  • 1 cup Labanos – talupan at hiwain pa-diagonal
  • 1 pc Talong – hiwain pa-diagonal
  • 1 cup Sitaw o Greean Beans
  • 2 tbsp Patis
  • 6 pcs Okra
  • ½ sachet Sinigang Mix

Instructions
 

  • Pakuluan ang tubig sa isang lutuan. Ilagay ang sibuyas, kamatis at asin. Pakuluan ng 3 mins.
    5 baso Tubig, 1 med Sibuyas, 2 pcs Kamatis, ½ tsp Asin
  • Isama ang hipon at pakuluan ng 5 mins.
    ½ kg Hipon
  • Isama ang labanos, sitaw, okra at talong. Pakuluan  ng 6 mins.
    1 cup Labanos, 1 pc Talong, 1 cup Sitaw o Greean Beans, 6 pcs Okra
  • Lagyan ng Sinigang mix at patis. Haluin.
    ½ sachet Sinigang Mix
  • Isama ang kangkong at pakuluan ng 1 min.
    1 bungkos Kangkong
  • Tikman at i-adjust ang asim at alat ayon sa iyong panlasa.
  • Ihain habang mainit na may kasamang kanin at sawsawang patis at ginayat na sili.

Sinigang na Hipon Storing and Heating Instructions:

  • Store in a sealed container in the fridge and consume within 2 days.
  • Reheat in a covered pan in moderate heat and boil with small amount of water for 3 mins before serving.
  • Microwave reheating instruction: Reheat in a microwave safe dish for 3 mins in full power.
  • Make sure food is pipping hot before serving.
