KINILAW NA TUNA

Kinilaw an Tuna is a traditional dish in the Philippines. It is prepared by mixing cubed fresh tuna with vinegar, lemon, or calamansi and then chilling the mixture until the fish is cooked gradually by the citrus juices or vinegar. In the Philippines, tuna kilawin is served as an appetiser; it is also a well-liked pulutan dish, particularly among a large number of people who enjoy drinking alcohol.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ kg Tuna Meat - diced
  • 1 med Sibuyas - chopped
  • 2 pcs thumb sized Luya - chopped
  • 4 pcs Siling Labuyo - sliced optional
  • 1 pcs small sized Pipino - thinly sliced optional
  • 2 pcs green & red Chilli Pepper - sliced
  • ½ juice lemon or 5pcs Kamansi - juice
  • 1 cup Suka
  • 1 pinch Asin at Paminta to taste

Instructions
 

  • Ilagay ang suka at lemon/kalamansi juice sa isang bowl.
    1 cup Suka, ½ juice lemon or 5pcs Kamansi - juice
  • Isama ang sibuyas, luya, sili, asin at paminta. Haluing mabuti hanggang sa matunaw and asin.
    1 med Sibuyas, 2 pcs thumb sized Luya, 2 pcs green & red Chilli Pepper, 1 pinch Asin at Paminta to taste
  • Isama ang tanigue at pipino. Haluin. Tikman at i-adjust ang asim, alat at anghang ayon sa iyong panlasa.
    ½ kg Tuna Meat, 1 pcs small sized Pipino - thinly sliced, 4 pcs Siling Labuyo - sliced
