PORK ADOBO

Pork Adobo is an everyday dish for all Filipinos. There are a lot of different adobo recipes throughout the Philippines and it’s depending on which region you came from as different regions in the Philippines have different source of ingredients, people only adapts to whatever ingredients are available for them to cook.

Try this super easy recipe of how my family cooks pork adobo.

How to cook PORK ADOBO:

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg Pork Belly
  • 1 med Sibuyas - sliced
  • 5 butil Bawang - crushed
  • 1 tbsp Paminta - buo
  • 2 dahon Laurel bay leaf
  • ¾ cup Toyo
  • 2 tbsp Suka
  • 1 pinch salt & pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Pagsama-samahin ang mga sangkap at haluin.
    1 kg Pork Belly, 1 med Sibuyas, 5 butil Bawang, 1 tbsp Paminta - buo, 2 dahon Laurel, ¾ cup Toyo, 2 tbsp Suka, 1 pinch salt & pepper to taste
  • I-marinate ng at least 1 oras.
  • Haluin, takpan at pakuluan ang mga sangkap sa katamtamang apoy sa loob ng 30-40 mins o hanggang sa maluto. Halu-haluin manaknaka.
  • Ihain ng may kasamang mainit na kanin.

Storing and Reheating Instructions for Pork Adobo:

  • Store in a sealed container in the fridge and consume within 3 days.
  • Reheat in a covered pan on moderate heat and boil with a small amount of water for 3 mins before serving.
  • Microwave reheating instruction: Reheat in a microwave-safe dish for 3 mins at full power.
  • Make sure the food is piping hot before serving.
