FILIPINO STYLE PORK BARBECUE

Filipino Style Pork Barbecue is characterised by the use of skewers made of bamboo with grilled pork. It is made out of pork slices that have been cut very thinly and then marinated in a specific blend of several flavours and spices. When eaten in the Philippines, it is traditionally prepared by being cooked over wood fire and then dipped in a tall jar filled with spicy vinegar.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ kg Pork - hiwain ng maliit at manipis
  • 15 pcs Barbecue Sticks
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Bawang - pino
  • 4 tbsp Oyster Sauce
  • ¼ cup Banana Ketsup
  • ½ cup Sprite/7-up
  • 4 pcs Kalamansi
  • ½ tsp Paminta - durog
  • ½ tsp Asin

Instructions
 

  • Pagsama-samahin ang mga sangkap maliban sa Pork at Barbecue Sticks. Haluin hanggang sa matunaw ang asukal at asin.
    ½ kg Pork, 2 tbsp Brown Sugar, 2 tbsp Bawang, 4 tbsp Oyster Sauce, ¼ cup Banana Ketsup, ½ cup Sprite/7-up, ½ tsp Paminta, ½ tsp Asin, 4 pcs Kalamansi
  • I-marinate ang Pork sa loob ng refrigerator sa magdamag (overnight) o at least 2 hrs.
  • Tuhugin ang pork at ihawin habang pinapahiran ng sabaw ng natirang marinate hanggang sa maluto(2 mins each side).
