Equipment

  • 1 Embudo (Funnel) para sa paglalagay sa sausage meat sa sausage casing

Ingredients
  

  • ½ kg Pork Giniling
  • cup Patis
  • 1 tbsp Toyo
  • cup Brown Sugar
  • 4 tbsp Bawang - finely chopped
  • 1 tsp atchuete/annatto or red food color - optional
  • ½ tsp Paminta - durog
  • 1 pinch Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp Cooking Oil
  • ¼ kg Sausage Casing or Sausage Skin

Instructions
 

  • Tunawin ang brown sugar sa patis at toyo.
    ⅓ cup Patis, 1 tbsp Toyo, ⅓ cup Brown Sugar
  • Isama ang bawang, paminta at atchuete/annatto o red food color - optional.
    4 tbsp Bawang, 1 tsp atchuete/annatto or red food color - optional, ½ tsp Paminta - durog, 1 pinch Salt to taste
  • Isama ang giniling at haluing mabuti. Tikman at i-adjust ang tamis at alat ayon sa iyong panlasa.
    ½ kg Pork Giniling
  • Ipasok ang dulo ng embudo sa sausage casing at ilagay ang pinagsama-samang sangkap sa embudo at itulak papasok sa sausage casing. Iwasang malagyan ng hangin ang sausage casing. Talian ang sausage casing kada-dalawang pulgada.
    ¼ kg Sausage Casing or Sausage Skin
  • Ilagay ang longganisa at maglagay ng 1/4 cup na tubig sa kawali, takpan at pakuluin sa katamtamang apoy sa loob ng 15 mins o hanggang sa maging konti na lang ang sabaw ng longganisa sa kawali.
  • Lagyan ng 2 tbsp mantika kung kinakailangan at iprito ng bahagya sa mahinang apoy.
    2 tbsp Cooking Oil
  • Serve with sinigang at itlog.

Pork Longganisa Storage and Reheating Instructions:

  • Store in a sealed container in the fridge and consume within 2 days.
  • Reheat in a covered pan on moderate heat and boil with a small amount of water for 3 mins until all fluids are absorbed before serving.
  • Microwave reheating instruction: Reheat in a microwave-safe dish for 3 mins at full power.
  • Make sure the food is piping hot before serving.
