PORK SINIGANG

Pork Sinigang is a Philippine hearty dish. This dish is very popular during cold days or rainy seasons as it keeps you warm and cozy in the cold weather. The dish has it’s sour soup with a mixture of nutritious vegetables like string beans, okra, labanos(radish family), and green leafy water spinach that would surely get you warm and indulged.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ kg Pork
  • ½ L Tubig
  • 2 pcs Kamatis - quartered
  • 1 med Sibuyas - hiwain ng manipis
  • 1 cup Okra
  • 1 cup Labanos - hiwain ng patahiris/diagonal
  • ½ cup Sitaw o Green Beans - putulin tig-3 inches haba
  • 2 pcs Petchay
  • 1 pc Pork Cube
  • ½ sachet Sinigang Mix

Instructions
 

  • Pakuluin ang tubig na may kasamang kamatis at sibuyas.
    ½ L Tubig, 2 pcs Kamatis, 1 med Sibuyas
  • Isama ang Pork. Pakuluin ng 20 min. Kunin at itapon ang mga namuong dumi sa ibabaw ng pinakukuluang karne.
    ½ kg Pork
  • Ihulog ang Knorr pork cube. Pakuluan ng 10 mins.
    1 pc Pork Cube
  • Isama ang labanos, okra at sitaw o green beans. Pakuluan ng 3 mins.
    1 cup Okra, 1 cup Labanos, ½ cup Sitaw o Green Beans
  • Ilagay ang 1/2 sachet Sinigang mix at pakuluan ng 1-2 mins.
    ½ sachet Sinigang Mix
  • Isama ang petchay, ilagay ang takip at patayin ang kalan.
    2 pcs Petchay
  • I-serve habang mainit na may kasamang sawsawan na patis at hiniwang siling labuyo.

Pork Sinigang Storage and Reheating Instructions:

  • Store in a sealed container in the fridge and consume within 2 days.
  • Reheat in a covered pan on moderate heat and boil with a small amount of water for 3 mins before serving.
  • Microwave reheating instruction: Reheat in a microwave-safe dish for 3 mins at full power.
  • Make sure the food is piping hot before serving.
