CHOP SUEY

Chop suey is a dish that is common in American Chinese cuisine as well as other types of Chinese cuisine found overseas. It is made with meat (typically chicken, pork, beef, shrimp or fish), eggs, and a variety of vegetables (bean sprouts, cabbage, and celery), all of which are quickly cooked together in a sauce that has been thickened with starch. It is generally served with rice, but you can make it into the Chinese-American version of chow mein by exchanging the rice with stir-fried noodles. Chow mein is a dish that originated in China.

Chop suey has emerged as a popular dish in a variety of regional variations of Chinese cuisine across the world, including American Chinese food, Filipino Chinese cuisine, Canadian Chinese cuisine, German Chinese cuisine, Indian Chinese cuisine, and Polynesian Chinese cuisine.
