Marinate beef in soy sauce, lemon, and ground black pepper for at least 1 hour, ideally overnight.
1/2 kg Beef Sirloin, 1/2 cup Soy Sauce, 1 piece Lemon, 1/2 tsp Ground Black Pepper
Pan fry half of the onions until the texture becomes soft and set aside
2 tablespoons Cooking Oil, 3 med Onion
Pan fry beef for 1 minute each side and set aside. Save the remaining marinate.
1/2 kg Beef Sirloin
Saute garlic and remaining raw onions until onion softens.
4 cloves Garlic, 3 med Onion
Pour the remaining marinade and water and bring to boil.
1 cup water
Add beef and and simmer until meat is tender (more water can be needed as required).
Season with ground black pepper and salt as needed.
1 pinch salt, 1/2 tsp Ground Black Pepper
Transfer into a serving plate and top with fried onions.
