GINISANG MONGGO with Dilis

Ginisang Monggo is a typical dish that we regularly have ever Friday if not by most of the catholics in the Philippines especially in the tagalog region. This is my mother’s dish every Friday as we are strictly practicing catholic and we don’t eat meat on Fridays. We don’t find it boring as my mother make the different monggo recipe each week. However, Ginisang Monggo with Dilis is my top favorite among them all.

How to cook GINISANG MONGGO with Dilis:

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Monggo ilaga at ligisin(boiled & mashed)
  • 2 cloves Bawang pino
  • 1 med Sibuyas hiwain ng manipis
  • 1 cup Dilis optional
  • 1 dash Pamintang Durog
  • 3-4 cups Tubig baso
  • 1 piecce Knorr Cube
  • 2 tbsp Patis
  • 1 cup Talbos ng Sili or baby spinach

Instructions
 

  • Igisa ang bawang at sibuyas sa mainit na lutuan at katamtamang apoy.
    2 cloves Bawang, 1 med Sibuyas
  • Isama ang dilis at paminta at halu-haluin 1-2 mins sa lutuan.
    1 cup Dilis, 1 dash Pamintang Durog
  • Isama ang nilagang monggo, tubig at knorr cube.
    2 cups Monggo, 3-4 cups Tubig, 1 piecce Knorr Cube
  • Lagyan ng takip at pakuluan ng 10 mins sa mahinang apoy.
  • Isama ang patis at haluin. Isama ang tabos ng sili, haluin at takpan.
    2 tbsp Patis, 1 cup Talbos ng Sili or baby spinach
  • Tikman at i-adjust ang alat ayon sa iyong panlasa.
  • Ihain ng mainit.
